What are the points of purchase of sweeping robots?

2022-03-03

When buying a robot vacuum, focus on these points: obstacle avoidance, navigation, cleaning capabilities, and other configuration parameters.

1. Obstacle avoidance technology: The sweeper generally has infrared light source obstacle avoidance, 3D TOF obstacle avoidance, lidar obstacle avoidance, single and binocular recognition and so on.

Infrared light source obstacle avoidance is to use infrared sensors to achieve obstacle avoidance, which is low in cost but lags behind, and will be affected by other light sources, so the obstacle avoidance effect is not the best;

3D tof obstacle avoidance is imaged in a microcomputer through the probe, which is not affected by the outside world. The probe has a long service life, but the resolution of the probe is limited, and sometimes the image is blurred;

Lidar obstacle avoidance is that the robot emits laser light and then receives the reflected signal to judge the obstacle. The obstacle avoidance effect is good and the response is very fast;

Single and binocular recognition is similar to installing a camera on the robot to identify obstacles, and the obstacle avoidance effect is very good.

2. Navigation technology: At present, there are laser ranging positioning, image positioning and navigation, indoor positioning and navigation and gyroscope navigation on the market. The most recommended is the first one. The laser ranging positioning is accurate, fast, and not very disturbed by the outside world. Image positioning can form a digital map for the robot to optimize the route, but the cost of image positioning will be relatively high.

3. Cleaning ability: This piece includes suction and wiping functions.

Suction: It is expressed in Pa, generally 800pa-2500pa. Of course, the larger the suction, the better, and some high-end products can reach 3000Pa. I have tested dozens of sweeping robots myself, and for general household use, the suction power of 2500pa is very sufficient.

Mopping method and mopping: At present, the most common mopping mops for sweeping robots on the market are rotary mopping and flat-plate vibrating mopping. The mop sweeper brands include Ecovacs, Yunjing, etc. The flat vibrating mop simulates the principle of sonic vibration toothbrushes. It is close to the ground during operation and can vibrate several thousand times per minute. The flat vibrating mop also relies on this high level of vibration. Frequent high-frequency vibration to strengthen the cleaning power.

There are disposable and washable mops. Some brands have designed disposable mops, which can be thrown away after use, saving time and effort and being hygienic, but it is a bit expensive. The washable ones can be recycled, and some have their own water tanks that can self-clean the mop, which is very convenient. At the same time, some high-end brand mops also have a sterilization function, which can effectively sterilize and decontaminate the floor while wiping. Everyone can choose according to their needs.

4. Other functions of the sweeper: scan home layout, partition cleaning and regular cleaning, etc.

Scanning home layout and partition cleaning: mainly refers to the fact that the sweeper scans the layout of the whole house through algorithms and laser navigation systems, and records it, realizes partitioning in the system, and adopts different cleaning plans for different areas;

Regular cleaning: By setting the information on the mobile phone, let the sweeper automatically complete the cleaning and automatically recharge. One more thing here, Ecovacs uses 3D imaging effects to partition the home and form a 3D map. The stone can scan single rooms, and can also scan and edit the map of duplex buildings, and automatically scan during cleaning, which is very intelligent;

5. Noise: The noise of the sweeper is related to the motor. Generally, the sweeper with a brushless motor has high suction, low noise, and no noise during operation. Ecovacs uses a volute design fan with high speed, relatively large wind power and very low noise; the stone uses a high-power brushless motor, which has low noise, high wind power and excellent suction;

6. Battery life: The sweeper needs to be disconnected from the charging base. Especially for large-sized families, the battery life of the sweeper should be considered. Generally, 3000 mAh or more is considered to have a good battery life. This standard sweeping robot can complete the operation of large-sized households. Daily cleaning.

7. Water tank: At present, many sweeping robots on the market are integrated with suction and drag. The body of the sweeper will have a water tank to replenish water for the mop, while sweeping and mopping. The general water tank capacity is about 200ml, and there are also larger 5L water tanks, but The large water tank is generally connected to the charging base, and needs to go back to replenish water.

8. Filter: The sweeping robot generally installs a filter at the exhaust position of the dust box to prevent secondary pollution. There are filters that cannot be cleaned or can be washed with water. For those that cannot be washed, it is recommended to replace them every three months, and for those that can be washed with water, it is enough to clean them once a month.
